Spotify Font

Spotify Font is basically a typeface called Circular. The Swiss type foundry, Lineto, creates the typeface. This is the font used in the Spotify logotype, brand elements, and interface. Circular is a modern geometric sans-serif typeface with clean, plain, round letterforms. It keeps an even tone, clean lines, and a geometric simplicity.

Spotify chose Circular because of its modernist look and legibility in all digital environments—the round edges of the typeface exude a friendly and inclusive feeling. At the same time, the smooth and streamlined design of Circular can remain fully legible even when it’s set very small.

But one of the best things about Circular is its versatility: Spotify can use it for anything from headlines and navigation menus down to body text or promotional material, thanks to the multiple weights and styles available. Maintains coherence and consistency within the identity of Spotify, yet with a wide variety of touchpoints.

Besides the beauty it holds, Circular is unique because of the very high legibility it embodies. It has been designed to be not only optimized for the digital medium but also makes for an excellent typographic choice for the Spotify web and mobile user interface. Clear outlines of well-defined shapes created in small and big sizes achieve perfect readability on millions of screens for a better user experience worldwide.

On the whole, the typeface Circular is expressive of Spotify’s identity. It reads through as modern, friendly, and serviceable. The design is versatile and clean, fitting well for a service in streaming that provides ease and access all across the globe.
