Rockwell Font

Rockwell Font is a distinctly and firmly designed Serif-style typeface with a geometric design initially created in 1934 by the Monotype Corporation. Rockwell speaks of the very essence of power and solidity and hence finds extensive usage in print media and the digital world. It makes use of thick and uniform strokes along with slab serifs, making it look very bold and blocky and scream for attention but yet manage to be legible.

One of the most outstanding features identifying Rockwell as a slab serif is that the serifs within the typeface continue over the thickness of all the strokes within a letter. This gives the face an even weight it within the typestyle, offering it a look of balance and harmony. It’s great for headlines, posters, and signage where high clarity and impact are prime considerations. Despite being a bold typeface, it has a kind of grace, making it quite versatile in most design spheres.

Rockwell Font

As much as Rockwell is an aesthetic typeface, it does serve quite a host of practical tasks for the user in the workplace. It is highly legible at varying sizes, at both big sizes for banners and smaller sizes for readable text. The adaptability of the typeface, together with the classic design, makes Rockwell the natural choice for a designer that requires a work-horse, sturdy, image-based typeface. Designers in advertising, editorial, and corporate branding use Rockwell with classic flair combined with that modern touch of power.
