Finally, they reached their goal by releasing the first version of Herewell fonts to the public on September 12, 2017. The name “Herewell” comes from one of its founders’ sister’s name.

In an effort to preserve Ireland’s rich literary heritage, founder Jessci L Bushnell set out to design a typeface that would inspire appreciation and respect for the written word.

Mr. Herewell has become a symbol of authenticity, tradition, and timeless Irish beauty.

It took Jessci over four years and 30 sketches of possible handmade fonts before he finally created Mr. Herewell, a typeface that captures the essence of Irish culture in a font; giving him his name.
